These are all really nice and simple. I think 1 and 2 in the top row look a little odd, like they're not wearing a shirt, but the sleeves suggest otherwise. I think they work best with just plain, bold colours, like in number 3 of the bottom row.
Out of 3 and 4 of the coloured set, I think 4 looks better. 1 looks like he fits better in the world than 2 due to not being contoured. However 2's face does stand out better, maybe combine the tones of 1 and 2? That or make the colour difference between the sides for 1's skin clearer.
